FOCUS Wales is an international multi-venue showcase festival held in Wrexham, North Wales, which places the music industry spotlight firmly on the emerging talent that Wales has to offer the world, alongside a selection of the best new acts from across the globe. It’s based in Tŷ Pawb, Wrexham’s new arts and community space. Every year FOCUS Wales brings together over 250 performances from across the globe and travel with artists from Wales to conferences and showcases as far as Taiwan, South Korea, Canada and more. The delegates include a high proportion of folk and roots programmers keen to learn more about Wales and its music traditions.

Trac Cymru helps them with their relationship with traditional music, ensuring they’re abreast of current developments and aware of emerging new work and talent. We also bring Welsh traditional musicians to FOCUS Wales to begin to make the kind of relationships that will sustain a career in music.
